richard going tankard
i am pleased to offer this very nice small quart tankard, probably made for export between 1715 and 1764. richard going worked in bristol, england. he made three sizes of straight tankards with fish tail terminals, low dome lids and scroll back thumbpieces. this example is the medium size, and is larger than his pint. it stands 6 3/8" tall and holds 26 ounces, just over three cups. the tankard is in very good condition inside and out.
