roswell gleason church set
offered her is a nicely designed church set including (1) tall signed flagon, (2) 6 5/8" tall thistle shaped chalices, and (1) 10 7/8" modified smooth rim signed paten dish. all four items are in very good condition. a similar set resides in the 'currier gallery of art' and is pictured on page 85 of katherine ebert's book "Collecting american pewter". gleason made this set in dorchester, massachusetts between 1821 and 1871.
