Trask Engraved Teapot

I am pleased to offer this scarce example of a Israel Trask engraved inverted mold teapot with intricate and crisp bright cut engraving around the center. c 1830.  Israel Trask, Beverly, MA 1807 - 1856.  Trask Light House coffee pots are more frequently seen with engraving, but teapots are seldom seen.  American Pewter in general is seldom found engraved, with the Beverly pewterers the most noted. This teapot is 7 1/2" tall and is as found, in very good original condition with no damage or repair.  The handle has been reblackened at one time.  This teapot was probably proudly made by Trask for a special customer.  The price is $595.00

Hearts & Crescent Porringer

Offered is a pewter porringer with Hearts & Crescent handle, 3 3/8" in diameter.  This porringer is unmarked and maker unknown. These porringers were once attributed to Lee or Gleason, but now they are thought to be of just New England origin, maker unknown.  The condition of this porringer is excellent and it still retains strong skimming marks on its bottom and a good strong linen mark. These porringers become available from time to time, but seldom in excellent condition. An addition to a collection or an upgrade perhaps?  SOLD
