hopper new york city chamberstick
i am pleased to offer this fine chamberstick made between 1842 and 1847 by henry hopper of new york city. it stands 5” tall and has a saucer base that is five inches in diameter. hoppers lighting is heavily cast and well finished. this piece came in a nice box with an envelope glued inside and a library card, which indicated that at one time it could be borrowed for study from a museum library. this box is included with purchase. the piece is in very good condition.
