1830 molasses jug

offered for sale is this heavy cast, well designed and detailed molasses jug probably made in new england circa 1830.  it is unmarked.  the piece stands 5 3/4" tall.  the pedestal base jugs are not seen as often as the straight type.  the piece is in good condition, although it is missing a spout cover and has minor hinge damage.  offered as is, but if you would like, ask for a quote to restore the piece.
